It has been a part of Indian craft tradition for centuries, especially in states like West Bengal, Rajasthan, and Andhra Pradesh.
Is terracotta jewellery safe to wear? Yes! Terracotta is one of the most skin-friendly materials available. It is completely natural, free from metals, and hypoallergenic — making it ideal for people with metal allergies or sensitive skin.
Is terracotta jewellery suitable for daily wear? Absolutely. Terracotta earrings are extremely lightweight, making them comfortable for all-day wear. Many of our customers prefer them over metal earrings specifically because they don't cause ear fatigue.
How long does terracotta jewellery last? With proper care, terracotta jewellery can last for years. Avoid prolonged exposure to water, keep away from perfumes and chemical sprays, and store in a dry place when not in use.
Do they break easily? While terracotta is stronger than ceramic, it can still break. Avoid wearing it while swimming or dropping it from a height.
The colour looks different from the photos on your website — why? Depending on the device you are using and the screen brightness settings, colours may vary from one screen to another. We try to keep our photography as close as possible to the actual colours, but a slight variation in the piece itself is natural and part of the handmade charm.

Orders & Shipping
What is the minimum order for free delivery? We offer free delivery on all orders above ₹499.
How long does delivery take? Your order will be dispatched within 2 working days and delivered in 3 to 6 days from the date of order. Working days do not include Sundays and bank holidays. Tracking details are shared once your order is dispatched.
Can I track my order? Yes. Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a tracking link via SMS or email.
Do you offer Cash on Delivery (COD)? We do not offer COD at the moment. Rest assured your order will be dispatched safely, timely, and in perfect condition. For any assistance, email us at hello@mridah.com or tap on the WhatsApp icon to chat with us.
Do you ship internationally? Currently, we only ship within India. International shipping is coming soon — follow us on Instagram for updates.
Returns & Exchanges
What is your return policy? We accept returns within 7 days of delivery if the product is damaged or defective. Please reach out to us with photos of the issue at hello@mridah.com or via WhatsApp +91 9704333588.
Can I exchange a product? Yes, exchanges are available for damaged or incorrect items. Please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order.
Care Instructions
How do I care for my terracotta earrings?
- Store them safely in the jewellery box or pouch they come in, away from other jewellery and rough surfaces
- Clean gently with a soft muslin cloth — avoid harsh chemicals, alcohol, perfume, and abrasive materials
- Remove before bathing, swimming, or any water exposure
- Avoid spraying perfume or hairspray directly on the jewellery
- Handle gently to avoid chipping
My terracotta earrings have lost their shine — what do I do? A tiny dab of coconut oil or olive oil gently massaged onto the piece will restore its natural radiance and bring back the shine.
Can I clean terracotta earrings with water? No — wipe clean with a soft dry cloth only. Do not use water or cleaning solutions.
